"Safe and stable housing is foundational to the success of children, families and communities. By partnering with the Affordable Housing Trust, we are helping to create access to affordable housing and build stronger, more resilient communities. This investment will benefit not only today's residents but future generations as well."

The Emerging Developers Accelerator Program (EDAP) is a 6-month training program that supports emerging developers who are women and people of color with comprehensive technical assistance, education, and access to capital. In addition to providing participants with the opportunity to accelerate their businesses, the program also aims to help increase the supply of affordable housing units throughout the Central Ohio community.
Since its inception in 2022, the EDAP has successfully graduated over 50 participants. Those participants have, to date, created or preserved more than 100 affordable units in the area.
The third cohort was completed on June 27, 2024, and the fourth session began on September 4, 2024. Special thanks to the city of Columbus, Franklin County, JPMorgan Chase and US Bank for collaborating with AHT in our continuous efforts!

On April 29, 2024, AHT in partnership with the Columbus Urban League, hosted the Making Impact Through Collaboration Continuing Education Symposium. EDAP graduates and cohort members were invited to participate in this one-day networking event in order to explore joint ventures in real estate development.
The event was attended by area developers and community leaders, as well as local and state politicians, many of whom served as panelists. Attendees were also treated to a virtual reality walkthrough of a property developed by an EDAP graduate.

AHT board member and champion of education, who passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. We were privileged to have her expertise for seven years as well as her service as chair of the audit committee. She was active in her role and kept everyone on their toes! We will all miss her beautiful smile and gracious spirit. As her family so eloquently stated:
"Mary's life was a testament to faith, love, perseverance, and service. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, in the love she shared so freely, and in the lessons she taught through her unwavering strength and boundless kindness."
